Your Stage Activities are embedded in music.

  • The music provides energy, motivation, structure and repetition
  • Your Stage esteems each individual, and
  • Teaches mutual respect.

‘Spaces’ are created facilitating each individual an opportunity for self-expression through:

  • percussion
  • vocal sound, and
  • movement.

All individuals have a place, and each individual’s contribution is:

  • recognised, and
  • celebrated.

Individuals explore aspects of themselves through:

  • leadership
  • turn-taking
  • team work, and
  • mirror work.

Your Stage demonstrates that all can participate – regardless of difference.

  • All have something of value to offer, and
  • all can belong and participate within a community.

We can all contribute to facilitating such an environment – no-one should be marginalised, but all can be included, successful and esteemed.

Your Stage provides consumer friendly activities that are proving powerful in their ability to facilitate successful communities of empowered individuals.

The philosophy behind Your Stage is that a ‘disabled individual’ is considered one who has is disabled due to barriers preventing participation. Your Stage is committed to enabling and empowering individuals, or ensuring that there are no barriers preventing participation.  Not only does Your Stage role model a way forward, but it also encourages others to creative inclusive problem solving.

Your Stage was launched at the international RiSE Symposium in July 2008, and has been embraced internationally.  It has been taken back to USA, UK, Singapore, Germany and Canada.
